Other news regarding the Battery life of the PSP has been announced today aswell.
Sony Computer Entertainment announced the battery life of the PSP
which is to be 4-6 hours for gameplay and 4-5 hours for movie play on average.
Thats about three 90minute films and an episode of Simpsons.
:-)
Extra Battery packs can be bought for the PSP priced at 4,800YEN which is $45 (£24)
Not that you would really need them unless your going on a long plane trip or something
in which you would have to pre-charge the extra one.
I can see myself doing so with the amount I have saved, But its not highly needed.

Gizmondo to Arrive in 3 Days
10.26.04 (6:35 am) [edit]
The Gizmondo aka GameTrac is to arrive in UK in just 3 days,
It remains to be seen what kind of an impact it will make in the market over here.
Its strange to see very little in the media about the Gizmondo even though its a startup company just like Tapwave was,
Yet Tapwave managed to make much more of an impact on handheld gamers even before the debut of the device.
It seems Tiger-Telematic's handheld release will be a much quiter one when compared to the GP32 and Zodiac's was.
It seems sad that a device with such potential may not be marketed right and ruin what was a perfectly good start to a device.
If they do manage to market it well here It may even be more popular then Zodiac,
In UK That is,
As I have very little doubt it can do what Tapwave did in the US.
If this device fails like the original N-gage device did we can hope for the price to die down to something affordable like the original price Tiger-Telematics announced the Gizmondo at a few months back a more then reasonable $100 (around £60).
I would expect it to raise in sales very highly and be something more of a challenger.

Nintendo Says Touching is Good
10.24.04 (5:55 pm) [edit]
Nintendo is spending a massive $40 million dollors on promoting cousin of the GBA.
The DS ad's new tagline "Touching is Good" as we have just heard from Reuters.
Which can go with you on different levels if you see what I'm saying.
It seems abit full on in my opinion as the a preview of one of the adverts shows a womens voice inviting the viewer to come closer for a feel.
These adverts would go out towards the male viewer,
I'm curious to see how they try and pull the small percentage of female gamers in,
if at all.
Nintendo seem very under pressure and are burning alot of dollars to make sure the Sony stay as far as possible.
We have yet to see how Sony respond both in revealing their product prices and their marketing tactics in response to Nintendo.
Sony have done amazingly well in the home console arena,
and are determined they will do better in the pockets of teens/adults.
Lets hope they have a better sales pitch,
As it seems to me these Ads are abit too similar to that of the recent
Kinder Suprise chocolate bar ads.

Sega Announce further PSP titles
10.24.04 (5:35 pm) [edit]
The people at Sega have announced that a further 4 titles will be produced for the PSP.
Though the names of these games have yet not been announced Sega have decided to leave us with a clue.
They have named the development of these Games "Project-S".
One can imagine these four games will be remakes of the more popular games produced such as Sonic which is the first thing that comes to mind when thinking of "Project-S".
The people at Spong have also commented on the possibility of other games previously created by Sega which begin with "S" such as
Shenmue and Streets of Rage.
It will be interesting to see what Sega have in store for us.
No doubt because of Sega's sudden announcement of Project-S,
There will be a flood of rumors being emailed to us.
More on this as we get it.

PSP talks with Aibo?
10.13.04 (12:56 pm) [edit]
Soon after seeing people asking at Spong.com about PSP's ability to comunnicate Aibo and if it will have one i started wondering.
Wouldnt this be great.
I mean most sony products are linked in some way like Nintendo does with the SP and gamecube.
If Sony's PSP could commuicate with the Aibo this could open up a whole lot of possibilities such as being able to see through Aibos eyes via bluetooth on PSP.
Imagine being able to use the PSP as a controller for the Aibo seeing what it sees, Hearing what it hears.
The fact remains if you do wish to be able to do all these cool things with your PSP your gonna have to shell over a grand (£1,400) for the Aibo itself.
If sony decide to do this with a software update of some sort it will boost Sony's PSP by a hell of alot, I mean who wouldnt buy a device that could control a dog?..
Actually, Dont answer that..

Only time will tell if Sony decide to take such a step,
In my opinion we are ready for this step and its a step worth taking for Sony.

Tapwave's Zodiac Coming to UK
10.08.04 (5:16 pm) [edit]
NEWS: Zodiac to Debut!
We've been waiting for this news for awhile now.
And now I just got word.
Tapwaves Zodiac which has left more then just a dent on the US market after its release last year is now coming over here to the UK to give even more of an effect on us brits.
The handheld is to drop on the 22nd October, Which is less then 2 weeks away.
We can expect a warm welcome to the Palm OS powered monster of a device.
Palm's Zodiac has done what the Tungsten T3 did for Pocket PC in the US,
We can expect for the Zodiac to fly off slelves as it is a much awaited handheld here.
It is a new type of device, Its a cross breed both a PDA and a games device.
Sadly it has taken several months for it to arrive here and hype has died down as to this,
Why do we get these things last?
Big wait or not im sure it'll be worth it.
I hope to review one soon and give my own personal opinion.
From what i've seen of the specs it seems a mightly stallian.
Only time will tell.
It will be avaliable from Dixons and PC world where there is a large selection of PDAs to choose from.
You can pick up the standard version for a mere £270 from these outlets.

Rumor: PSP to work with X-BOX?
10.05.04 (1:16 pm) [edit]
This morning i got an email from a source claiming that the PSP is very likly to be compatible with Microsofts X-Box.
My contact claimed that it would be possible to connect both peices of hardware togeather via link and possibly software.
This seems fairly unlikly to us but theirs always the slight possibilty that there will be third party hardware/software that will allow this but not directly provided by Sony or Microsoft,
We very much doubt that Sony do this themselves though the possability itself seems intresting.
