No PSP 1.5?

According to an artical on Ferrago there will be no new PSP,

Although I myself still believe the existence of the PSP 1.5, This is because my source seemed very genuine about everything...I myself believe Sony is going through Ideas for another Model right now and I believe what my source saw was just a concept idea.

Sony PSP to release a PSP 1.5?

According to an anonymous source I was contacted by (Lets jus call him Mr. Brown) in the early hours of yesterday claimed a "SlimLine PSP" was in the making and supposedly would be presented at E3.

I guess its very understandable that Sony develop a slimier version of their product as they have done in the past, Even Nintendo did this with their Gameboy Advance which eventually transformed into the Gameboy Micro we see today.
Sony have a past record of sliming their products down and giving them a more considerably appealing look.

- The Original Playstation turned into the PSOne
- The Original PS2 turned into PSTwo
- So I guess its now time for a "PSP 1.5" Or "PSP Lite"

I wouldn't have thought it would be this soon but apparently the "PSP 1.5" as Its currently dubbed by the source will be a slimmed down and improved version of the PSP.
I believe if this is true it would be a very good way of going up against Nintendo's DS Lite.

I spoke to the "Mr.Brown" for several minutes, in which I discussed the following factors.

Weight
The Source "Mr.Brown" claimed from the current weight of the PSP which is around 260grams including battery weight will supposedly be dropped to around 184grams including battery which is considerably light, I guess if this is all true its their response to Nintendo's DS Lite.

Hard Drive
I asked him whether there would be Hardrive in the "PSP 1.5" in response he said something along the lines of "In this particular version of the PSP they are still looking into the hard-drive but it will almost definitely to be one of an 8GB capacity"
This was slightly disappointing as I was hoping he would say a higher capacity.

After I spoke to him It had me thinking about whether there were other "versions of the PSP" in development to be released anytime soon, at that time It slipped my mind and I didn't even think to ask which was a very stupid move on my side, a missed opportunity...

Integrated Camera
When I asked "Mr. Brown" about the rumoured integrated camera, he stated they were thinking of implementing it although they may not as it would add to the weight / price factor.
He didn't mention much about it afterwards an it sounded as if he wasn't too sure about that himself.

Battery Life
Heres the really interesting part, from what the source said not only is there a higher capacity battery included with the dubbed "PSP 1.5" but also the PSP Software provided will be far more advance and efficient then current software has been modified so much that it will allow several hours of game play more!! This almost sounds unbelievable to me but he sounded very genuine...

Buttons
"Mr.Brown" Also claimed that they are now considering the implementation of "touch sensitive buttons" which out of everything was the most appealing, but wouldnt this encourage even more accidental button presses?

I'll post more when I get more, If the information provided by "Mr.Brown" was correct this is Breaking News. Until this is confirmed by Sony themselves I guess this is just heresay.

Offically Re-Launched!!

PSP Takeover has now offically Re-Launched, everythings working etc.

But more importently pay attention to the next post as Ive been informed about something which I feel is about to become the hottest Rumour in the PSP world, Ive been informed of a New PSP Model!!

From what I've been told about it I hope its true.
